Despite Portland’s loss last night in San Antonio, I am loving this year’s squad. Raymond Felton is pushing the ball up the floor. LaMarcus Aldridge is stepping back into his leadership position as well as Gerald Wallace becoming the powerhouse threat we knew he was capable of. And after last night’s incredible blocks, Nicolas Batum shows he is still battling with Wallace for a starting spot. Marcus Camby is a sound center, and his presence was missed last night - luckily it’s just a sprained ankle. I am even more impressed with Wesley Matthews this year. He is nailing his shots, and his defensive skills are solid.
Favorite newcomer to the team? Jamal Crawford. He is smart, and he is settling into Nate McMillan’s lineup.
The Trail Blazers will bounce back, and win some of these next road games. Next up Monday January 16th at New Orleans Hornets. Let’s Go Blazers!
